Message from the Superintendent of Schools

I am very proud to be the Superintendent of Schools of Englewood.  While many people have congratulated me on the appointment, the statement is usually followed by "good luck".  It is not about luck.  It is not about one person.  It is about all of us in our community coming together for the success of the children.

We have work ahead of us.  We all have the same goal:  “the best for our children”.  I am confident that over the next several weeks, months and years the path will be that of success.   While the path may be difficult, the end result will be worth it.

My policy has always been to listen to everyone and get information.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about our district or just to discuss educational philosophies.

Thank you.
Robert Kravitz

Bedtime Math?

Yes, there is a free new app called Bedtime Math.

A study was done by the University of Chicago using two diverse groups of 500 1st graders and their parents.  The results are very encouraging.

Parents can download the app to their child's iPad, iPhone or Android device.  Follow this link.

From the Principal

I am honored to be your child's first Principal as they start their "Journey in Education" here at D.A. Quarles Early Childhood Center. Every child is unique in their early development as they learn not only academic skills but social and emotional skills as well. Please work with us to assist your child in developing these skills as Home and School continually work together.
